This directory is designed to help seniors, their families and the professionals who assist them, to find goods and services they need from companies and organizations with an interest in serving them.The print edition of the Sarasota County Aging Network (SCAN) Annual Senior Services Directory has been a primary resource of information on goods and services for the area's older adults for a decade-and-a-half. This on-line edition has offered this information to a worldwide audience for the last 5 years. As always, this year's print edition is free, thanks to the generous support of SCAN and our advertisers. Veteran Services (Sarasota County)

County Veteran Services unit provides assistance to veterans and their families with filing claims for veterans benefits. Benefits include: compensation for service related disabilities, medical benefits, pension for wartime veterans with non service related disabilities, survivor benefits, and death benefits. The unit also provides county assistance for burials of unclaimed bodies and indigent emergency hospital care.
